Video strategy
How do you repurpose one video into many posts?
Start with one 5 to 15 minute recording, such as a project walkthrough or a Q&A where the owner answers five customer questions. From it, cut three to six vertical clips of 20 to 45 seconds, each built around one point with a strong opening line. Pull two or three quote graphics or text posts. Grab still frames for Google Business Profile updates. Transcribe it (AI tools do this in minutes) and edit the transcript into a blog post or newsletter. Post the full version to YouTube and embed it on the relevant website page. Spread the pieces over two to three weeks across platforms rather than dumping them in a day. One hour of recording can fill most of a month. McCrawAI does this for clients routinely, and we also schedule the pieces across platforms.
Follow-up questions
How many clips can one video produce?
It depends on the content. A focused 15-minute explanation can often produce several useful clips; a rambling one may produce one or two.
Is repurposed content penalized by platforms?
Reusing your own footage is normal. Some platforms favor original uploads over videos with other apps' watermarks, so export clean files.
What's the most valuable repurposed format?
For search and AI visibility, a written article or answer page built from the transcript, because it's text those systems can read.
