Video strategy

How often should a business post on social media?

For most small businesses, three to five posts a week on one primary platform and one or two a week on a secondary platform is a sustainable target. Consistency matters more than volume: three posts every week for a year beats daily posting for a month and then silence. On LinkedIn, two to three posts a week is plenty. On YouTube, one long video a month plus a few Shorts a week works. Google Business Profile deserves a post or photo update at least weekly because it affects local search. Set a schedule your team can keep during your busiest season, batch-create content once a week, and increase volume only after you've held the pace for three months. McCrawAI sets a schedule your team can hold, and we also batch the editing and posting so it doesn't slip.

Follow-up questions

Is posting every day necessary to grow?

No. Daily posting can help some creators, but most businesses grow better with fewer, more useful posts on a schedule they can sustain.

Does posting at a certain time of day matter?

It can matter a little. Check when your own followers are active in your platform's insights rather than relying on generic advice.

Should I post the same content on every platform?

Reusing vertical video across Reels, TikTok and Shorts is fine. Adjust captions to each platform, and don't cross-post content that only fits one.
