Media consulting
What questions should you ask before hiring a marketing consultant?
Ask ten questions and listen for specifics. Who exactly will do the work each week? What happens in the first 30, 60 and 90 days? What do you need from me, and how much time will it take? How will we measure success, using which numbers? What won't you do? Who owns the accounts, files and content if we part ways? What's the minimum commitment and how do I cancel? Can you show a sample plan or report? What would you tell me not to spend money on? Have you worked with businesses like mine, and what did you learn? Vague answers about process or measurement, guarantees of rankings or followers, and reluctance to give you account ownership are reasons to walk away. McCrawAI answers all ten before you sign, and we also put scope and ownership in writing.
Follow-up questions
Is it rude to ask a consultant for references?

Yes. Scope, price, commitment and ownership should be in writing before you start.
